How to use our Personal Mission Statement Worksheet template
This worksheet is a simple yet powerful tool that can guide clients toward clarity and purpose in their lives. To make client sessions meaningful and engaging, follow these steps using the template:
Step 1: Access the template
Start by downloading the Personal Mission Statement Worksheet template. You can either print it out or save it digitally to complete at your convenience.
Step 2: Guide your client through the reflection questions
Encourage your client to take their time answering the reflection questions. They should write their answers for the prompts related to their core values, strengths, passions, and goals, which will provide insight into their personal beliefs and what drives them. You can also assign it as an independent task for them to complete at home and ask them to bring it to sessions for discussion.
Step 3: Help your client write their mission statement
Once your client has completed the reflection questions, help them develop a clear and concise personal mission statement if they haven't yet. The mission statement should summarize their purpose, values, and aspirations, providing a meaningful sense of direction.
Step 4: Review and revise together
After the mission statement is written, review it with your client. Help them refine their statement to ensure it is authentic and aligns with their goals and values. Encourage revisions until they feel the statement truly reflects their life purpose. You can also encourage your clients to set specific, actionable goals based on their personal mission statement. As you do so, help them break down these goals into smaller, achievable steps and create a plan for incorporating them into their daily lives.
